It is important to start planning a baby shower in enough time to ensure all of your guests are able to join you, we would recommend that you send out your invitations 6-8 weeks in advance.

To assist with your planning, here is a quick checklist of the main things you will need to consider:

  • Guest list from the mum-to-be
  • Venue, date and timings all agreed
  • An event theme is chosen
  • Invitations sent out to all guests
  • A plan for the day is produced to include a welcome, food and drinks, some games and the showering of gifts
  • Menu agreed with responsibilities allocated
  • Games chosen and prepared, with any props bought that are required
  • A gift list is produced for the hosts to manage if the mum-to-be has certain preferences or themes they have chosen for their new baby
  • Beautiful decorations including paper plates, napkins, bunting and balloons all purchased
